The Connecticut Speed School educates and coaches our athletes in all of the critical components of our "Foundation of Fundamentals." The science of nutrition and sports performance is amazingly dynamic. The School is committed to delivering what we believe to be the most effective methods, methodologies and instruction available in athletic performance today, most notably in developing speed, reactive and absolute strength, flexibility & mobility, explosive body movements and nutrition.
Individualization is another mainstay when developing young athletes and teams. The Connecticut Speed School delivers specialized programs and methods based on the needs of our athletes.
Our "Foundation of Fundamentals" must be developed and improved on throughout the year. Too often athletes dedicate only two or three months (sometimes less) outside of their respective sports season to work on a few of the components of our "Foundation of Fundamentals." The honest and unfortunate truth is that the "Foundation" in many young athletes is partially, if not totally ignored. At the Connecticut Speed School we believe that this is a tremendous mistake and we are committed to putting our athletes in the best position to succeed in their respective sports. After all, you would not race in the Daytona 500 with four flat tires and with no oil in the engine.
The Connecticut Speed School's curriculum focuses on both the development and the application of the specific skills in our "Foundation of Fundamentals." In other words, athletes are only three-quarters of the way there once the foundation develops. Athletes must then learn how to apply their strength, explosive power, mobility and speed simultaneously within a split second to excel to the best of their ability on the athletic fields.
As a result, the Connecticut Speed School is committed to educating our young athletes on the importance of a year-round program using proper periodization techniques. Connecticut Speed School will design customized year-round "complete" programs for teams while simultaneously offering "micro-programs" geared specifically to the individual athletes' strengths and weaknesses. This approach allows for optimal development both as a team and as individual athletes.
Our methods and methodologies are proven based on decades of research. The Connecticut Speed School is run by coaches that understand and respect the challenges involved with developing young athletes. We are committed to delivering unparalleled service based upon our customers' needs. While the School offers "complete" training, we also work with high school and collegiate strength coaches to provide select and specialized training that may not be offered during the off-season or on summer break.
We are coaches that embrace the opportunity to work with a team's coaching staff or athletic department to best develop their athletes. We have the programs to implement and the experience and equipment to do it effectively; and at your facility if needed.
Along with specialized year-round team, group and one-on-one training, the Connecticut Speed School offers several Camps. Some of these Camps also incorporate sport-specific coaching along with our Speed Programs.
